Salt Creek - May '02

This is another county run park.  We went here on May 17th, 18th & 19th with friends of ours.  You'll see thier travel trailer in some of the pictures.  Overall we liked this campground alot.  There is lots of sea life in the tidal pools and there's plenty of beach to walk.  There are ball fields and a small playground for the kids.  The park is on the site of the former Fort Hayden.  There are bunkers and pill boxes around the area.  The showers are good, although water preasure was minimal.  The facilities are in good shape and clean.  We will visit this one again, I'm sure.  We had a very good time.  There's no revervations available so if you go, get there early - this park is popular.
